How Does ProShots Work...
1. When you deliver your exposed film to a ProShots Lab, it's processed, proofed and then digitized on special ProShots equipment. The film is kept in long-roll form and stored at the lab. The images are delivered to you on floppy disk, CD-ROM or via the internet.

2. Back at your studio, ProShots software (provided free of charge to all qualified photographers) gives you access to the images on a standard PC. Right from your screen, you can edit, crop, sequence, size, package, re-order and cost-out jobs - all with absolute simplicity.

3. You meet with customers and present their pictures - with proof book and on-screen. You can even use ProShots to present a compelling "video slideshow" of their order. Then, working with the customers you specify all the details of their order - with-out ever laying a finger on a negative, aperture card or order form.

4. You return the order to the lab electronically - either in person, by handing them a diskette or directly over the internet. The complete order is digitally encoded and ready to be automatically processed.

5. The entire job is then processed automatically by a Hicks ProShots printer working directly with the data provided in your electronic order. Errors are virtually impossible. All prints are back-marked with precise information, allowing easy and accurate album assembly.

6. Finally, the finished job is delivered back to you, accurate and complete. The job remains in long-roll format at the lab, ready for reprints.

What do you need to get started with ProShots?

A Personal Computer: You want a Windows 98 or NT 4.0 machine with a minimum of 64 MB of RAM, a 9 Gb or greater hard drive and a 20x CD-ROM drive. A modem and Internet access will also be very useful.
